About the Event

Plotting made easy, even for pantsers!

Lori Hayes created the Labyrinth Plot Method, developed after a trip to the beach to search for mindful activities for her upcoming writing retreat. Intrigued, she discovered how the twists and turns of the labyrinth depict plot points in a novel. This method helps to solve plot issues in your manuscript, helps to provide a roadmap for your novel, and helps to guide you in writing that dreaded synopsis. The technique will offer you the secret ingredients to create an engaging story.

NOTE: This meeting will be held live at ECPI and online via Zoom.

Nonmember: $10.00. Register: https://hcrw-2022-07.eventbrite.com

Speaker Biography:

Local award-winning author, LORI HAYES, has written eight books. The Crystal Coast Series is set in scenic North Carolina, mainly the Beaufort area, with the added romantic flair of the wild horses. Hayes centers her stories around family, love, and complicated relationships. Island Summer has won multiple awards, and Coastal Christmas won a bronze for the Feathered Quill Book Awards.

In addition to her beach romances Hayes has four published children’s chapter books under the name Lisa Morgan. The Christmas Horse has been a bestseller, and the equestrian series is uplifting, dealing with social issues including bullies, complicated friendships, divorce, and shared love for horses.

Hayes believes in giving back to the community and is excited to help other writers achieve their goals. This November she is hosting an oceanfront educational writing retreat in Emerald Isle, NC, where a publishing team will teach aspiring writers the fundamental aspects of writing a book.
